Jim Jones is the owner of WAMM Radio. He purchased 790 AM in 2008. Jim launched 97.9 FM in 2020. He is the driving force behind the music and presentation of WAMM. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MBA from George Washington University. Jim also owns and operates Radio Sound Solutions, LLC, the affiliate coordinator of radio content for providers such as the Kim Komando Show, Bloomberg Radio, Red Apple Audio Networks/WABC, Key Networks, Superadio, Suite Radio, and Focus 360.
Craig Orndorff began his broadcasting career in 1987 at the original WAMM 1230 AM in Woodstock. He hosted the morning show on 790 AM for ten years. Craig formed Valley Sports Radio in 1995, delivering regular broadcasts of Shenandoah County high school athletics. He was the radio voice of James Madison University women’s basketball for six years. Craig is the host of two nationally syndicated radio music programs, including Seems Like Old Times, heard Saturday and Sunday mornings on WAMM.
Kyle Gutshall joined the Valley Sports Radio broadcast team as a teenager in 2016. Kyle is the voice of the Strasburg Express of the Valley Baseball League. In 2022, Kyle was elected to the Shenandoah County School Board in the 4th District. He is a senior at James Madison University, working toward a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.
